Southern Womens League @ Lee Valley

Braintree & District A.C. Ladies had a brilliant day at Lee Valley in their Southern Womens League match against some very strong opposition, finishing second to Newham and Essex Beagles with a total score of 310 points.
The Under 15 Girls section provided the team with a good points base to build on with winning positions gained by Clarice Parrott in the Long Jump and 75m Hurdles, Chloe Leach winning the 'B' section Shot, Elle Cockell winning the 'B' Javelin with a new Pb throw of 21.02mtrs and Katie Bright taking the honours in the Long Jump 'B' with a Pb leap of 4.38mtrs.

In the Senior Ladies group Jill Rush had a winning double in the 'A' 800mtrs and 3000mtrs, Rachel Ball took the 800mtrs 'B' race and Lana Gillard won the 'B' Long Jump.
This was a very satisfying result on the day and with just one more League match to go at Colchester in early September there is a good possibilty of promotion.
