Two 5th Places by the Allen Family

Seven Braintree AC members travelled to Great Baddow to take part in the Edmund Carr 10 mile Road Race.
Running conditions were windy and in a field of over 850 athletes the following results were recorded:

Braintree youngsters Luke Allen, Simon Smith and Courtney Gordon took part in the 2 mile race.
This was also a hugely popular event with over 700 competing.
Having just recovered from a cold Luke had a super race to finish in a fine 5th position.
He won the prize for the first boy under 12 and was presented with a fine trophy.
