Chloe Beckett's Fine First at Silver End and Dereham 10 mile

On Saturday Braintree & District Athletic Club's Chloe Beckett ran in the Essex Under 20 Championships.
In her first year in this age band she came a fine fourth in a time of 5m 02s. Then on Sunday, she took part in the Silver End Fun Run. She came fourth overall and was first woman in a time of 28m 02s. In the Under 20s Mens 800 metres at the Essex Championships, Rchard Pollitt ran a fine race to finish in 2m 04s. In the mini run, Courtney Gordon came fourth in the under 12 category. Stewart Ellis ran in the Dereham 10 mile race in cool and windy conditions. He set a new personal best of 63m 40s, as finished in 18th position out of 350 runners.
