Nottingham Marathon Langham 10k Grunty Fen Half

On Sunday Paul Miller completed the Nottingham Marathon in 4 hrs 14m, followed by Trevor Sibley in 4hr 20m.
Both used this tough course as preparation for the Abingdon Marathon in October.
Also preparing for this race, Lee Cousins completed the flat Grunty Fen Half Marathon in Cambridgeshire, in a fine 1hr 37m 44s.
Mark Fribbens ran the 10 miles cross country in Ridge Park, Kent.
He did well to complete this hilly and boggy course in 1 hour 49m.
Braintree pair Stewart Ellis and Gavin Allen took part in the Langham 10K road race.
With a relatively flat course this proved to be a good race.
Both performed well with Allen home in 7th in 35m 46s and Ellis in 34th in 39m 49s.
Alongside this race was the ever popular 1.5 mile Fun Run.
10 year old Luke Allen took part in this race and flew ahead at the start with the group of lead athletes.
Allen maintained this fast pace all the way round with a very strong finish to gain him 5th position overall (3rd Junior) also winning him the trophy for 1st under 12.
Luke's 7 year old brother Matthew came an amazing 17th position also winning him the Under 8 prize.
