Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon
10/10/2010
An article from Mark Jackson:
Just to let you know that I ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in London yesterday.
12,500 people at the event.
It was a beautiful day with great views of Buckingham Palace, the Royal Albert Hall, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.
Twelve people ran for the local J's Hospice so a good turnout for the charity.
Thank you for the support from Braintree club members.
My legs felt heavy on the run.
I stayed with the 1.50 pace setter for about 10 miles, then was dropped a little, arriving at the finish in 1 hour 52 min.
Anyone doing it next year will have to put up with the tightness of the paths making it a bit difficult sometimes.
