One Tree Hill XC Harwich 10k Tiptree 10 Felixstowe Half
10/10/2010
On Saturday Braintree & district Athletic took a large team of 30 athletes to One Tree Hill near Laindon for the first Essex League Cross Country of the season.
It was a warm day, with a very challenging course including a long uphill trail of about a mile, with about half the course through undulating woodland.
In the Under 11s race supporting the match, two of Braintree's youngsters stole the show. Luke Allen came 2nd in a large field, with Simon Smith coming 9th.
Otherwise, we had great performance from all the athletes, including Anna Eden in the Under 15 Girls, 16 year old Chloe Beckett, 5th in the very competitive Under 17/20 Women's event, and Gavin Allen 32nd in the large men's field.
