A 5 mile road race for all organised by Braintree & District Athletic Club starting in Skyline 120 Business Park adjacent to Great Notley Country Park.

The Route
An undulating rural course starting and finishing in Skyline 120 Business Park, next to Great Notley Country Park, Braintree. The route goes down Queenborough Lane past Rayne Station, into Rayne Village and then onto the Flitch Way for a few hundred metres before turning back into Rayne, and back home.
We have applied for Queenborough Lane to be closed during the event.
The Race will be chip timed.

Runners can only score in one team.
T-shirts
Commemorative T-Shirts will be handed out with water to all finishers at the end.
Event Details
• Race Headquarters is The Discovery
Centre Great Notley Country Park Braintree.
• Location Map (map reference)
• Refreshments will be provided at the Discovery Centre
• Toilets are located at the Discovery Centre. Also there are changing
rooms and limited showers.
Car Parking
• Parking is available at Great Notley
Country Park at a charge of £3.
It is recommended that runners share lifts where possible.
• The business park is on a private road and on the race route and
parking by competitors there is not allowed. This is a condition
applied to us when we sought permission to use the road for our race.
Registration, Pre Race and Race Chips
• There will be no entries on the day.
• Please arrive at the Discovery Centre with your race number before
10.30am to receive your race chip.
• Follow the instructions re attachment of the chip strap to your
ankle. No chip no time.
• Please warm up in the Country Park and not in the Business Park.
• We will assemble in a pathway down to the business park just before
the race and will give out final instructions from there before
proceeding straight to the start.
• At the finish please exchange your chip in exchange for your tee
shirt.
• It is a condition of entry that you agree to pay £50 if you fail to
return your chip, as we will be charged this by the providers.
Safety
• Please follow marshalls and police
instructions at all times.
• There is one road crossing to be done twice, and so please take care
when crossing in line with marshalls and police advice.
• If you are feeling unwell or not fit to continue, please see one of
the many marshalls on the route.
• If race officials consider you should stop, please follow their
instructions.
• St. John's Ambulance will be in attendance on the course.
